These Terms & Conditions govern your use of Bodywork Clinic’s services. By booking, attending, or paying for a treatment with us, you accept and agree to these terms in full.

1. Appointment Arrival

Please arrive on time and wait at the side entrance door. If you arrive early, please text the therapist and wait for a response — the therapist may be attending to another client. Clients may be asked to wait outside until the therapist is ready.

​

2. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • All cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 48 hours before the booked appointment time.

  • Late cancellations (less than 48 hours) or no‑shows are non‑refundable.

  • Rescheduled bookings have no financial value and must be used within 4 weeks.

  • If a refund is issued, a small transaction fee may be deducted.

3. Late Arrivals

If you arrive late, the therapist may shorten your session to keep subsequent bookings on time. Depending on the schedule, the therapist may still aim to deliver the full session length.

4. Health & Suitability

Massage, bodywork, and related therapies are not substitutes for medical diagnosis or treatment. You must inform us of any health conditions, injuries, allergies, medications, or recent surgeries before your session. If, in the therapist’s professional judgment, a treatment is unsafe or inappropriate, it may be modified or declined.

In cases where medical approval is required (e.g., taking blood thinners, cancer treatments, etc.), you may be asked to obtain verbal clearance from your GP or healthcare provider before treatment.

5. After Treatment Expectations

It is common to experience some muscle soreness, aching, or mild bruising after deep or therapeutic bodywork. These responses are usually temporary and part of the normal recovery process.

​

6. Inappropriate Behaviour

Bodywork Clinic maintains a strictly professional environment. Any behaviour that is sexual, intimidating, harassing, or abusive towards the therapist will not be tolerated. In such cases:

  • Your session may be terminated immediately

  • You will forfeit the session fee

  • Future bookings may be refused
    This protects both client and practitioner safety.

7. Confidentiality & Record Keeping

All client information is treated confidentially and stored securely. Therapy notes and treatment records will be retained for a period of 7 years from the last session in accordance with professional and legal standards.

8. Consent & Agreement

By booking or attending a treatment at Bodywork Clinic, you confirm that you have:

  • Read these Terms & Conditions

  • Understood them

  • Agreed to be bound by them in full

9. Safety & Contraindications (Professional Standard)

Certain medical conditions may affect your suitability for massage or bodywork. You must disclose any conditions, such as:

  • Fever, infectious illnesses, or skin infections

  • Recent surgery or open wounds

  • Severe cardiovascular conditions

  • Blood disorders

  • Pregnancy (please inform us in advance)
    Failure to disclose relevant health information could result in harm or treatment modification. Please consult your GP if in doubt.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms & Conditions will be resolved under the jurisdiction of the courts of England.

11. Updates to Terms

Bodywork Clinic may update these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. The current version posted on our website applies to all bookings and treatments.
